Itinerary of Route 6 Days Discover Morocco Experienciab:

  • Day 1 ; Casablanca – Menkes – Fez

Pick up airport or riad Casablanca, departure to Fez directly via Meknes there we will be a while to rest with stops to take pictures of some tourist sites of that ancient city and then follow the road to Fez we arrive late-night accommodation in Fez (Riad)

  • Day 2 ; Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga

From Fez we will go to the Middle Atlas, to visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next village will be Azrou “the rock”, Berber village known for its craftsmanship, carpets and woodcarving, then arrival in Midelt. We follow the path through the Tizi Talghemt or Neck of Camella, at 1,907 meters of altitude. The relief is impressive, the mountains are completely naked, covered with a purple coat. Arrival in Errachidia and engage in the crossing of the massif of Tafilalet up to the palm grove of Erfoud. Direction desert and lodging in Merzouga ( Hotel)

  • Day 3 ; Merzouga – Village of Khamlia – Nomadic Families – Tour of Erg Chebbi – Camel Ride – Night in haimas

This will be a day of much adventure where we will know a different Morocco! With the 4×4 we will pass in the village of Khamlia where you will stop to enjoy the music of Gnawa then we will follow the way we will cross mountains that at first sight seem hard rocks but when we walk them we will verify that it is fossilized sand that has been deposited there millions of years ago. We will practice a little trekking to get to the site where dedinosaur remains are extracted. We will visit the interior of one of those excavations feeling in our skin the daily experience of the expeditionary. Along the way, in the company of an inhabitant of the small town of Bega, we will enjoy the calm of the arid landscape and begin to play the search for the Rose of the Desert. Why not? And whoever finds it will have a surprise prize! Later, along stone roads, we will circulate parallel to the Algerian border until we reach the area where marine fossils are extracted. In a unique landscape we will have a picnic Berber style: on one side the mountains and on the other the orange dunes of the Sahara. And to conclude our day of extreme adventure we will pass behind the dunes by roads little traveled and we will visit the cemetery of the French and an abandoned village of the time of the colony and we will depart in a caravan of dromedaries of one hour and a half that will take us to the feet of the Great Dune, wrapped by the beautiful sunset of the desert. Dinner in the camp and night in a tent in the heart of the desert under its spectacular mantle of star (Camp).

  • Day 4 ; (Merzouga ) – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After seeing the amazing sunrise in the desert we will take again the camels to return to “civilization”. return to the hotel where we will take breakfast and shower and refresh. Once cleared, we will leave in the direction of Rissani, origin of the Alaouite dynasty and first imperial city of Morocco. We will take the road towards Erfoud, rich in black stone and marine fossils (if you want, we can stop at a fossil factory) and we will arrive at the Palmeral de Tafilalet. We will visit the Todra Gorges and reach the Dades Valley, and lodging in Dades (Kasbah).

  • Day 5 ; Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait ben haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast we will continue along the “Thousand Kasbahs Route”. We will visit the Dades Gorges and then follow the road via Valle de las Rosas where its inhabitants make creams, soaps and rose water. We pass by the skoura palms until we reach ouarzazate where we visit its kasbah of Taourirt, then we detour along a track of 6 km that will take us to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit its famous Kasbah (declared World Heritage by UNESCO). In this spectacular setting have been filmed films as renowned as Gladiator, the Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penelope Cruz … Lunch and rest in the village and then cross the high atlaas (2260 m) on the way we visit one of the cooperatives of Argan Oil that we have in our country. There the women who run the cooperative will teach us the different processes through which the fruit of the argan and explain the properties of the oil. Arrival in Marrakech in the evening. lodging in Marrakech ( Riad )

  • Day 6 ; Transfer from Riad to Marrakech airport
